A retirement function was recently held on Thursday, 28th May, 2026 to mark the occasion of the retirement of Detective Superintendent Colm O’Malley, Crime Functional Area, DMR South. Colm served on the DMR branch for many years and was treasurer in recent years. We would like to thank Colm for his support and contribution during that time and wish him and his family all the very best on his retirement. Our Association President, D/Superintendent Colm Murphy made a presentation to Colm on the evening to mark the occasion.

Retirement of Superintendent Della Murray

The retirement of Superintendent Della Murray recently took place and to mark the occasion, a presentation was made on behalf of our association by NEC Representative, Superintendent Martina Noonan. The role that Superintendent Murray played in Employee Assistance was invaluable to the organisation. The empathy and understanding that she brought to her role made a huge difference to the members involved as well as to the organisation as a whole. We would like to thank Della for her service and contribution throughout her career and we would like to wish her and her family all the very best into the future.

A retirement function was recently held on Thursday, 14th May, 2026 to mark the occasion of the retirement of Detective Superintendent Pat Ryan, Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau. Pat was Vice President and member of our National Executive Committee for many years and we would like to thank him for his support and contribution during that time. The Association would like to congratulate Pat on his retirement from An Garda Síochána and wish him and his family all the very best for the future.  Our Association President, D/Superintendent Colm Murphy made a presentation to Pat on the evening to mark the occasion.

A retirement function was recently held on Saturday, 2nd May 2026 to celebrate the occasion of the retirement of Superintendent Andrew Watters, Drogheda, Louth South Community Engagement. The Association would like to wish Andy and his family all the very best on his retirement from An Garda Síochána after 40 years distinguished and dedicated service.  Superintendent Martina Noonan made a presentation on the night to Andy on behalf of the Association.
