A function was held 5th of July 2024 to mark the occasion of the retirement of Superintendent Seamus Boyle. Seamus was NEC Member and the Association would like to thank him for all his hard work in that regard. We wish Seamus and his family well and all the best for the future in his retirement! Superintendent Fergal Harrington recently celebrated his retirement at a function in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire on the 17th of May 2024. We wish him well in his retirement. Pictured is NEC Member Dave Kennedy making a presentation to Fergal on behalf of the Association.

Our President Colm Murphy recently represented the Association at the Association of Scottish Police Superintendents Annual Conference held in Peebles. This was a special conference for our Scottish Colleagues who were celebrating 100 Years! Picture with President Rob Hay.

Members of the National Executive, led by our President Colm Murphy and General Secretary Mick Comyns attended a protest at Leinster House alongside other Garda colleagues and the Fire Brigade, Defences Forces and Prison Service against the unfair pension entitlements on offer to new recruits.

There was a large attendance at the Regional HQ in Galway on Thursday the 4th of April 2024, to celebrate with Superintendent Sean Glynn, who retired from An Garda Siochana after 39 Years of loyal and dedicated service. The Association would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Sean and we wish him and his family a very happy and healthy retirement. An Event to celebrate the retirement of Detective Superintendent Eugene Lynch was held at The Wet Canteen at Garda Headquarters on the 24th November, 2023. A presentation was made to Eugene on behalf of the Association by President Seamus Nolan and CEC member Mick Flynn. We wish Eugene all the best in the future.
