Commissioner Justin Kelly attended the National Executive Committee monthly meeting for May 2026 at the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim, Co Meath on Wednesday 13th May 2026. A full discussion was held on the many and varied issues concerning the Association.

A retirement function was recently held on Thursday, 14th May, 2026 to mark the occasion of the retirement of Detective Superintendent Pat Ryan, Garda National Cyber Crime Bureau. Pat was Vice President and member of our National Executive Committee for many years and we would like to thank him for his support and contribution during that time. The Association would like to congratulate Pat on his retirement from An Garda Síochána and wish him and his family all the very best for the future. Our Association President, D/Superintendent Colm Murphy made a presentation to Pat on the evening to mark the occasion.

A retirement function was recently held on Saturday, 2nd May 2026 to celebrate the occasion of the retirement of Superintendent Andrew Watters, Drogheda, Louth South Community Engagement. The Association would like to wish Andy and his family all the very best on his retirement from An Garda Síochána after 40 years distinguished and dedicated service. Superintendent Martina Noonan made a presentation on the night to Andy on behalf of the Association.

A retirement function was recently held on Friday, 3rd April, 2026 to mark the occasion of the retirement of Superintendent Paul Maher, Crumlin/Terenure Community Engagement. The Association would like to congratulate Paul on his retirement from An Garda Síochána and wish him and his family all the very best for the future. Our association President, D/Superintendent Colm Murphy made a presentation to Paul on the evening to mark the occasion.

A retirement function was recently held on Saturday, 28th March 2026 to mark the occasion of the retirement of Detective Superintendent Gordon Englishby, Louth/Cavan/Monaghan Division. The Association would like to congratulate Gordon on his retirement from An Garda Síochána. We would like to wish Gordon and his family all the best for the future and thank him for his service. Superintendent Patrick O’Connell made a presentation on the night to Gordon on behalf of the Association.

A coffee morning was recently held on Thursday, 19th of March 2026 to mark the occasion of the retirement of Superintendent Thomas Murphy. The Association would like to congratulate Thomas on his recent retirement from An Garda Síochána and acknowledge his work as Chairperson of the Garda Headquarters Branch and also as a former member of the NEC. We wish Thomas and his family all the best for the future and thank him for his service. President Colm Murphy made a presentation to Thomas at the event on behalf of the Association.
