Members of the National Executive, led by our President Colm Murphy and General Secretary Mick Comyns attended a protest at Leinster House alongside other Garda colleagues and the Fire Brigade, Defences Forces and Prison Service against the unfair pension entitlements on offer to new recruits.

There was a large attendance at the Regional HQ in Galway on Thursday the 4th of April 2024, to celebrate with Superintendent Sean Glynn, who retired from An Garda Siochana after 39 Years of loyal and dedicated service.  The Association would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Sean and we wish him and his family a very happy and healthy retirement.  Pictured with Sean are NEC members Superintendent Seamus Boyle & Superintendent Pat O’Connell.

Retirement of Superintendent Tony Twomey on 27th March 2023

Superintendent Tony Twomey marked his retirement with a function held in Westmanstown in March.  Tony was a member of the National Executive and a strong voice for the DMR Branch.   A presentation was made to Tony on behalf of the Association.  Best wishes to Tony and his Family in his next chapter.
